The registry values keep getting reset every time the program is opened or windows is restarted. I've tried hacking my way into this, following instructions here:
I've connected the headphones to the front panel at the moment, but this means I have to choose between in-line volume control and lots of cables everywhere. The skin doesn't appear to allow remapping at all, which is obviously causing issues for my setup.
Realtek HD Audio Manager now has an ASUS skin (this happens even when I install drivers straight from Realtek). Now, I have an ASUS Z97-A, with the ALC892. I have a Siberia V1 headset, and it has a very long cable so I would route it through the back and into the black audio port, with speakers in the green one. Basically, I could remap any port as anything. On my old Intel P43 motherboard with Realtek's ALC888S HD Audio codec, I could open up the HD Audio manager, and configure a Rear Speaker Out port as a headphone port, mic port, etc. So I have an issue that's driving me mad.
